We keep things straightforward. This page covers what you should know about using The Harness Companion, how we handle your data (spoiler: barely any), and who we are.
Disclaimer
The Harness Companion is an experimental, open-source project published by Evolutionary Leadership as a showcase and source of inspiration for AI-powered development workflows.
It is provided "as is" under the Apache License 2.0, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- •Evolutionary Leadership is not responsible for any damages, data loss, unexpected behavior, or other issues that arise from using this tool
- •The Harness Companion integrates with third-party services such as GitHub, Railway, and Anthropic. Their availability, terms, and behavior are outside our control
- •This project is not production-hardened and is not formally supported. You use it at your own risk and discretion
In short: we built this to show what is possible. It may work beautifully, it may not work at all. There are zero guarantees, and we cannot be held liable.
Privacy
We keep this simple because we keep our data practices simple.
What we store in your browser
An anonymous session token (a random UUID) and your wizard progress, using your browser's localStorage. This is functional storage required for the setup wizard to work. Under Dutch and EU law (Telecommunicatiewet, Article 11.7a), no consent banner is needed for strictly necessary storage like this.
What we store on our server
Your wizard progress (which variant you chose, your current step, and which steps you completed), linked to your anonymous session token. We do not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, or any other personal identifiers.
Analytics and tracking
None. We do not use analytics services, tracking pixels, or advertising networks.
Third-party data sharing
None. Your data stays on our server and in your browser.
Your rights
You can clear your browser's localStorage at any time to remove all client-side data. If you have questions about your data or want to exercise your rights under the GDPR, contact us at info@evolutionaryleadership.nl.
Supervisory authority
The Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) is the supervisory authority for data protection in the Netherlands. You can reach them at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
